Hannes Mussbach - Contemporary Graphic Designer
For more than 25 years, I’ve been working at the intersection of culture and design — shaped by my roots Graffiti and a lasting curiosity for visual expression. I first discovered stylewriting in the mid-90s — raw, expressive, and full of energy — and later studied design in Hamburg.
My professional path began at Ligalux/fischerAppelt as a designer and art director, before I co-founded the agency 2erpack Identity with Behruz Tschaitschian in 2008. Together with Thomas Dirolf, Thorsten Karl, Oliver Schock and Mari Enzensberger, we built an independent creative studio focused and brand identity that we ran together until the end of 2024.
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to work on a wide range of projects: from international writing jams to identity work for both young ventures and established companies, as well as award-winning campaigns, visual concepts and artworks for exhibitions. A core strength of my practice is a deep understanding of strategic work and concept development — creating strong foundations for creative design processes. I like to work closely with brand strategists in a ping-pong exchange, building identities that are grounded in clear positioning and a strong understanding of the target audience.
Music has also played an important role in my creative journey. I’ve released two instrumental albums and collaborated with Farhot and Kabul Fire Records on artwork and visual concepts. Today, I support the label as Creative Manager, combining design, strategy, and storytelling to help shape its future. I enjoy projects that connect ideas with people in meaningful ways — always with the aim of keeping things clear, thoughtful, and authentic.
